a natural response

Dear Salvation Inc.,

I'm here purely by accident. I was searching for pictures on Google when I came upon a Bush campaign sign from your site. I clicked on the image and began to look at 'Salvation Inc.'.

I began to read the different articles that were posted and was intrigued by what I found. Little by little I began to laugh. You see on your homepage, it reads:

"A Portland based collaboration devoted to raising social awareness and building community."

Building community...how are you, gentlemen, building community by tearing your very neighbors down? How are you, gentlemen, building community by speaking maliciously about those in authority. Your words are not to inform, but to breed hatred.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That's what is so wonderful about our country. We have the freedom to disagree, to speak our voice. You have a wonderful opportunity to do that with your website, but perhaps you've done it the wrong way.

Every article on your site is dripping with disdain, anger, bitterness. Although you do bring up good points, I found it hard to concentrate on them. Instead of seeing your valid reasoning, I saw merely your resentment. I understand that you are unhappy with the President and our government...I don't agree with them on everything either. But I don't think you will be as productive getting your points across unless you try to speak with a little bit more love.

I just thought I would give you a little feed back. I stumbled across your site and was unable to be convinced of anything because I was so turned off by the malevolence in your articles. I want to be open minded to what other people think about things but I found it very hard to do while visiting your site.

I'm writing this for your own benefit; so that you can see how muddled your main points get to readers when you focus on tearing others down. No one enjoys people who are hateful. You would sound much more reasonable to me and I would pay much more attention to what you have to say, if you expressed your thoughts without being hurtful. I'm sure you are all very intellectual, but you come off as being immature when you speak with so much hatred.

Thank you for reading this. Good luck with your ventures. I sincerely hope that you will use your freedom to express yourself with a little more grace and compassion. You should all use your passions to persuade change, not to tear others down. You'll be much more productive. Thank you again for reading this.

God Bless,

Kaitlynn
