May 19- Free Lecture with the King of Fast Food Nation

Best selling writer Eric Schlosser will be on hand at the first North Portland Farmer's Market (http://www.portlandtribune.com/archview.cgi?id=29634) Wednesday, May 18 from 3-7 pm at Overlook Park. He will meet with Northwest farmers and local residents coming to enjoy and acquire the plentitude of goodies. Schlosser is the author of the acclaimed "Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All American Meal", which criticizes American food marketing and its link to the nation's epidemic of obesity. On Thursday, May 19, Kaiser Permanente is sponsoring a free lecture by Schlosser at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall.
